Up close and personal with a mute swan near Doughnut Island. Anything but shy, this fellow eventually swam inside the minimum focus distance of the lens, making further photography impossible.

Doug Guildford’s Rope adorns the eastern gap for Rogue Wave 2005, framing the now-defunct catamaran ferry that ran from Toronto to Rochester. Incidentally, The Cat has been rechristened the HSC Tanger Jet II, and runs between Morocco and Spain.

A common carp stares at the camera through the underwater gloom, looking like something out of Asian legends.
Island Iridescence
Glowing like a pet store tropical fish, a sunfish swims past an underwater remote near Pike Cut. Clarity of the lagoons is already dropping as the water temperature rises. This b-roll image looks mottled due to air bubble contamination on the lens port, a common problem in summertime.
Across The Pond
